PRESCRIBING SALT WATER THERAPY WORLDWIDE

Welcome to Dr Pacific, where the rhythm of the ocean meets the heart of sustainable fashion.  Our journey begins with the stories of those who wear our garments—stories of lives lived close to nature, of memories woven into the fabric of pre-loved and vintage clothing. We breathe new life into unwanted materials, transforming them into one-of-a-kind creations that celebrate the individuality of the wearer. Each piece carries a history, lovingly reworked to create something entirely unique and ready for a new chapter.

Dr Pacific is dedicated to sourcing materials from preloved, vintage, and recycled origins. We are committed to fostering a culture of prolonging the lifespan of textiles while simultaneously minimising waste and emissions caused by clothing consumption. We are drowning in textile waste and we are driven to be a part of the solution.

OUR PROCESS

Step One: Sourcing

We approach sourcing like a treasure hunt, discovering each piece of clothing—whether from charity shops, donations, or other avenues—as a way to rescue them from ending up in landfills. Our focus is on high-quality fabrics like 100% cotton and linen shirts. We believe in giving every garment a second chance. Our mission is to prioritize sustainability and reduce the environmental impact of textile waste.

Step Two : Wash

Each garment undergoes a thorough cleaning process to ensure it is fresh and ready for a new life.

Step Three : Preparing and Creating

Each shirt is carefully examined before being debranded and prepared for its transformation into a truly one-of-a-kind piece. Talented local seamstresses and tailors skilfully rework every garment -sewing, cutting, embroidering, and crocheting with passion and precision to create something uniquely special, made with love right here in Newcastle, Australia.

Step Four : Zero - Waste

We are committed to becoming a zero-waste company. By fostering a culture of community and reuse, we can support skilled labourers and establish a fully transparent model for textile recycling, reuse, and repair - creating a sustainable system that benefits everyone.Thread offcuts are repurposed as swing tags, and our packaging is sourced from businesses that prioritise zero-waste principles. Fabric scraps are creatively reconstructed into patchwork items, ensuring nothing goes to waste.
